Greeting & Introductions & Announcements:

• The outbound Silver Line Bus Stop that is currently in front of the Penny Savings Bank on Washington Street will be moving in front of Blackstone Park
  
  

Zoning Board Appeals –

· 83 Waltham Street : Attorney Joseph Hanley presented on behalf of Perry Geyer, who is looking into purchasing the property at 83 Waltham street. 83 Waltham is a former lodging house (5 unit apartment building) and he is proposing to restore the building to the original residential building. Mr Geyer is looking for approval to change occupancy to 3 residential units. Mr Hanley was also looking to get approval for adding balconies and a roof deck which were not on the agenda. Eight Streets Membership voted to not oppose this change [Note: letter to ZBA, CC to Mr Hanley and Mr Geyer]

· 8 Bond Street : Owner John Maloof presented his plans to make updates to 8 Bond St. Mr Maloof was looking for our approval on exterior work in the building’s rear including dormer, roof and window work, adding decks and changing zoning from a one family to a two family. This would include modifications (change of shape and adding a storey) to the addition at the rear of the building. Mr Maloof presented many letters of approval from abutting neighbors. Eight Streets Membership unanimously voted to not oppose the changes [Note: letter to ZBA will be sent at when owner is ready]

· 12 Bond Street : Architect Arthur Choo came to get approval for adding a deck to the top floor. Eight Streets Membership voted to not oppose this change [Note: letter to ZBA, CC to Mr Choo]

Meeting:

• Peters Park Dog Run: Barbara Korkey came to present the official Dog Run plan for the Parks Department. The goal of the Dog Run is to promote public health and safety, make the surrounding area safer, promote responsible pet ownership and to attract and retain urban dwellers. The majority of members felt this was a positive addition to the neighborhood.
• We Need YOU! Volunteer Today! The Neighborhood Association is looking for volunteers for the following committees and neighborhood meetings. Anyone interested in attending these meetings should contact John McLachlan for more information. jmclachlan at draper.com

• Trash Committee: looking for members to create a committee to come up with ideas
