To Whom it May Concern,
At the December 6, 2006 meeting of the Eight Streets Neighborhood Association, Kim
Rosen (7 Dwight Street #3) and Joe Canavan (7 Dwight Street #2), came to ask
for neighborhood support to attain approval for adding decks to the back of
their units. Ms Rosen and Mr. Canavan presented drawings from their architect
that show the proposed decks would measure 20ft in length by 7ft in depth and
would be supported from the ground with posts.
During the meeting, Hne Linh
Tran and Ai Linh Tran (owners of 7 Dwight #1) expressed concerns because they
were not given adequate time to review the proposed decks prior to the ESNA
meeting or the appeal scheduled on Dec 12, 2006. The TranŐs concerns are around
how it will affect light/shadows in their unit and value of their property
moving forward. Ms Rosen and Mr Canavan asked ESNA to proceed with a vote even
though they still needed to come to agreement with other owners in their
building.
ESNA membership voted to not
take a position on the proposal at this time due to the fact that direct
abutters have not come to an agreement.
Please feel free to contact
me with any questions or concerns on this subject.
Thank you.
