To whom it may concern:

At last night's monthly meeting of the Eight Streets Neighborhood Association, Mr. Wu Jianxin and Ms. Sarah Morgan requested the support of the Membership in their application to be allowed to have a wine license at their establishment, QingPing Gallery Teahouse at 231 Shawmut Ave. The proposed license would be for serving wine only during their business hours.

While the majority of Eight Streets Members saw no issues with QingPing’s request for a wine only license, there were some abutting residents that voiced concerns about potential issues such as increased noise, increased parking problems and the possibility of attracting homeless people or teens looking for a drink. The owners of QingPing addressed each of these issues to the satisfaction of the majority in the room and they voiced their commitment to being a good neighbor and would be respectful of neighbors’ concerns.

Eight Streets NA Membership voted to support QingPing’s application for a Wine License.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns on this subject.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Heather Slaby
