Welcome to the Eight Streets Neighborhood Association.

Eight Streets is one of several Neighborhood Associations in the South End of Boston, Massachusetts. Neighborhood Associations are organized groups of residents and businesses who have an interest in actively participating in the neighborhood.

Each meeting gives us an opportunity to discuss current projects and activities in the neighborhood, and to bring any of your neighborhood concerns forward. Our goal is not to bring more rules to the neighborhood, but to be aware of what goes in in our neighborhood. We want all the neighbors to have an open dialog in what goes on in our neighborhood, to make sure Eight Streets remains the kind of community we all want to life, work and feel safe in.

A Neighborhood Association isn't only about business though. We also take an active role in local community activities, from neighborhood socials to educational forums. We don't look at our neighborhood as a collection of streets and buildings, but as a community. Residents and businesses. Renters and owners. All working together to make Eight Streets not just a place where we live, but a place we call home.

Mission Statement

All this is best summarized in our mission statement, as stated in our bylaws:

The Eight Streets neighborhood Association is a non-profit organization established to act as a unified voice representing the concerns of all its residents. We will keep residents informed of pertinent issues and events, respond to issues and concerns regarding our neighborhood and seek out ways to improve the overall quality of life. We will accomplish this through inclusive membership representation, broad outreach programs, and collaboration with government and other community groups

Eight Streets
